A young couple, soon to be parents, asked us to design their first home. We re-thought a standard floor plan of a condo to incorporate a kitchen into a larger dining/living area. In northern and often gloomy Saint-Petersburg the good lighting is vital. The warmth of solid oak brings coziness into an otherwise crispy interior.  

An important task was to choose finishes and solutions that will best serve the needs of the human inhabitants as well as their dog and a cat.
